Into the New Year

It’s been quite a week around here. I took about half of last week off and just enjoyed a vacation with my kids. And then I came back with a full email box, requests for books and a full schedule. Somehow I didn’t plan well to ease back into life but it’s coming together.

At a meeting last night, ladies and I were talking about resolutions. We talked about ways to be better mothers, better wives, and better women. But we covered it all with one major thought: whatever we want changed must be prioritized according to God’s desires for us.

That’s the hard part.

I can come up with all kinds of goals and dreams for myself, but are the things I’m putting at the top of my list the things that God wants there. Or am I overlooking something He deems far more important?

How do you determine if your focus is on the right thing?

There are definitely a whole lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a nice point to convey up. I provide the thoughts above as general inspiration however clearly there are questions like the one you convey up the place crucial factor can be working in trustworthy good faith.

A sermon I heard long ago suggested we should consider if our focus will be a benefit in some way, shape or form to God’s Kingdom, and use that as your guide.
