Shirley Plantation, established in 1613 making it the oldest plantation in Virginia, stands on the banks of the James River not too far from Richmond. What’s so special about it? Eleven generations of family still own and operate it! In fact, the farm dates back to 1638, making it the oldest family-owned business in America!
One of the treasures you can discover in the gift shop are a variety of marmalades! Made by the Shawnee Canning Company (a sixth-generation family-owned business) specifically for Shirley, the ingredients are few, recognizable, and delicious!
So, this Valentine’s Day, it is with great pleasure that I offer this giveaway: one autographed copy each of Crossing Values and Ryan’s Crossing to keep or give away to a friend, along with a nine-ounce jar of Yankee Marmalade from Shirley Plantation!
For those with allergy or nutritional concerns, the ingredients are: sugar, orange peel, orange concentrate, cranberries, pectin, and citric acid.
