I don’t know about you, but it’s been a busy year around here. My fingers have been busy at the keyboard, writing new books, flushing out new ideas, and creating new freebies to go with all those books.
Want to know the plans? What new and upcoming releases you can look forward to from author Carrie Daws? Then keep reading!
He is the key to her success. She’d rather not deal with him at all.
When Emma Foster’s family logging business runs into a cash flow problem, she comes up with a daring plan to reach out to a manufacturer her father turned down twenty years ago. She’d just prefer to deal with the owner of the company rather than his son who captured her childhood dreams back then.
Daniel Wilson never imagined he’d again see the girl who had haunted his boyhood fantasies of brave knights and daring rescues. But when he knocked on a car window to offer assistance to the driver, memories began flooding his heart and mind.
Was God finally placing events in order so they could have their Dream Come True?

If you keep up with my books then you probably know about Allie. I’ve been talking about her for months, simply because my part (the story) had to be done several months before the book went to print to give the illustrator time to paint–yes, paint!–all the pictures. What does everyone love best about this children’s book? The ladybug hunt!
What does everyone under the age of eighteen seem to love best about this children’s book? The ladybug hunt! Yep, even the teenagers. That’s pretty awesome.
Released July 2, 2018. Home Front Heroines series. 141 pages, paperback and eBook copies available here.
This is the first book to release in my Home Front Heroines series, books about real life military families each facing one of the most difficult circumstances of their lives. Each story is unimaginably tough, but each family allows God to intervene and go to work–not changing their circumstances but instead changing their hearts and minds.
In More Than Meets the Eye, we find a US Air Force family in the midst of a move, isolated from friends and family, facing terrible financial and physical strains. And yet God has a plan bigger than anyone involved in the story could possibly imagine.

The call came down from Command, and your warrior husband is out the door, leaving you behind to handle whatever he has left undone. Whether it’s the day-to-day monotony, the inevitable appliance that breaks, or the months without his presence beside you, being a military spouse brings challenges few appreciate.
Yet God sees you and longs for you to boldly step into his plan. He purposely chose you for this moment – for your man. He wants to give you abundantly more than what you have right now and desires you to thrive as your warrior’s bride.
Now on Kobo!
Book 1, Crossing Values: For years, Amber traipsed around the Northwest avoiding the skeletons in her closet. As winter plants itself firmly across the Rockies, she decides to take a chance on a job at a logging company with a family different from any she’s ever known before. Could they truly be genuine? Could this family really hold the key to what she’s seeking?
Book 2, Ryan’s Crossing: After ten years, Ryan’s parents found his runaway sister. As he meets her before her wedding, he must decide where she will fit into his life and what his future will look like. Seeing the town where his sister lives only brings more questions. Portland may be the better choice for him in his upcoming move, but small town life appeals to him. Is it the friendly people or the sister of the groom?
Book 1, Romancing Melody: Melody Podell married her Prince Charming and journeyed with him across the country to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. As much as she hates being 3,000 miles away from her family, she wants to adjust to life as a soldier’s wife. But Army life isn’t what she bargained for. Shortly after the birth of their baby Cole, David deploys with the War on Terror. Melody settles into motherhood, quieting her doubts about David’s safety. But when the unthinkable happens, where will Melody turn? If God allowed this, what does that say about His character? And how can she possibly move forward?
Book 2, Crossing’s Redemption: Many in Crossing, Oregon, would describe long-time resident Patricia Guire as an eclectic force to be reckoned with, one who speaks her mind. Yet something is changing. She seems to be dropping out of her normal activities, becoming scarce around town and less available to her friends. Amber Yager feels called to check in on Patricia. Yet as she spends time with her and discovers Patricia’s hidden past, she is drawn into a group that brings disquiet to her own soul, ripping open old wounds. Will the love she’s found in Crossing be taken from her? Or could both Amber and Patricia finally find peace as God shines light into the darkest places of their hearts?

This is the first book in my new Sacred Trust series, the follow-on series The Ember series. Here, we follow Detective Samuel Campos, learning more about his life and the changes God is bringing to him. Will he accept the new assignment?
God calls all of us to major shifts in our lives from time to time. Often, we don’t see them coming, and when we do finally see the change, we often hesitate in uncertainty. This is exactly where Sam is about to find himself. (And yes, Kelan and Cassandra fans, the duo does make a reappearance in this series.)
Target Release: December 2018. Sacred Trust series. Will be available in eBook (and in paperback summer 2019).
This is the second book in Sacred Trust series where we return to the journey of Detective Samuel Campos. The first book started Sam down a path where he sees a need that’s not being met well within his community. When God presents him with an opportunity to wade into the muck and try to make a difference, will he step forward in faith?
